Weld Neck Flange is a type of flange with a conical neck for welding connection, integrally forged from a flange plate and conical neck. The external taper of the neck is strictly controlled to ≤7°, and it connects to the pipe through a circular pipe transition section with a circumferential weld joint. The weld neck flange features resistance to deformation and good sealing performance, commonly used in pipelines carrying expensive, flammable, and explosive media. It is suitable for applications with high pressure, high temperature, and large pipe diameters, widely used in pipeline connections in industries such as oil, chemical, marine engineering, and water supply projects.
