The Swing Check Valve, also known as a non-return or one-way valve, is a valve that automatically controls its opening and closing based on the force of the medium flowing through it. Its core component is a disc that swings freely on a hinge pin within the valve body. When the medium flows in the forward direction, the disc is pushed open by the fluid pressure, creating a passage. When the flow stops or reverses, the disc automatically closes against the seat due to its own weight and the back-pressure of the medium, thus reliably preventing backflow. With its simple structure and low flow resistance, this valve is widely used in industrial and civil pipelines to protect pumps, compressors, and other equipment from the impact of reverse flow.
