3-Piece Trunnion Mounted Ball Valve

  • 3-Piece Body for In-Line Maintenance: The valve body, connected by bolts, can be easily disassembled without special tools, allowing for convenient in-line maintenance and replacement of internal parts.
  • Trunnion Mounted Ball, Low-Torque Operation: The ball is supported by top and bottom trunnions, ensuring low operating torque and smooth performance under high pressure. The "floating" seats are pushed against the ball by the medium pressure, ensuring a tight and reliable seal.
  • Double Block and Bleed (DB&B): The upstream and downstream seats can block the fluid simultaneously. The cavity pressure can be released through a bleed valve, facilitating pipeline maintenance and safety checks.
  • Anti-Blowout Stem: The stem features a bottom-entry design with a back seat, preventing it from being blown out by medium pressure even in cases of abnormal pressure rise in the valve cavity.
  • Fire-Safe & Anti-Static Design: A fire-safe design ensures seal integrity during a fire. The anti-static device conducts static electricity generated from friction between the ball, stem, and body, preventing sparks that could ignite the medium.
  • Emergency Sealant Injection: Upon request, the valve can be equipped with emergency sealant injection fittings for both the seat and stem, allowing for temporary sealing in case of seal damage.

The 3-piece trunnion-mounted ball valve is a high-performance, quarter-turn valve where the ball is anchored by top and bottom trunnions, preventing displacement under high pressure differentials. Its "3-piece" body construction consists of a central body and two end caps. This design greatly simplifies in-line maintenance and service, as internal components can be accessed and repaired without removing the entire valve from the pipeline, significantly reducing downtime. It is widely used in demanding high-pressure and critical industrial applications, including oil & gas, chemical processing, and power generation.
